Vice Chancellor Noble announced last week that he will be retiring from the Court of Chancery bench on February 26, 2016. Vice Chancellor Noble was the last remaining judge on the court who was not appointed by Delaware’s governor Jack Markell, and was reappointed to a 12 year term in 2012.  Governor Markell has also appointed four of the five members of the state’s Supreme Court, who also serve 12-year terms, including its chief justice, Leo Strine, a former Chancellor of the Court of Chancery.
